Background:

Assemblymember Wilson was first elected to the California State Assembly in 2022. Prior to that she was the Mayor of Suisun City and served on the City Council since 2012.

In the Legislature, Assemblymember Wilson has been a supporter of justice reform, authoring legislation such as ACA 8 which referred Prop 6 to the November 2024 ballot to end slavery and involuntary servitude in California prisons. She was also a co-author of ACA 4, an IJ Action cosponsored bill that failed to pass but would have placed an initiative on the November 2024 ballot to restore voting rights to people in prison.

She also has a strong voting record in supporting justice reform, having earned an “A” on our Legislative Scorecard in 2023, 2024, and 2025.

Public Safety Platform:

Assemblymember Wilson does not cover her positions on public safety issues on her campaign website. However, based on her positive voting record and her authorship of justice reform legislation, IJ Action recommends that voters re-elect Assemblymember Wilson.

Background:

Callison is an Army veteran and longtime legislative staffer with over 14 years of experience in the California State Legislature, most recently serving as Chief Consultant for the Senate Military and Veterans Affairs Committee. She holds a master’s degree in public policy and has also worked as a community coach and youth mentor. Callison previously ran for Assembly in 2022.

Public Safety Platform:

Callison does not provide a formal public safety platform on her website. In a local newspaper interview, she stated, “I believe that a lot of California policies that were passed in the past decade have enabled crime to get worse…There needs to be something done about the amount of property crime and violent crime, especially in Solano County.” These comments make clear that she opposes recent justice reform measures and favors a more enforcement-focused approach, without supporting community-based safety strategies.

Rochelle Conner is a retired executive administrator with experience in private, government, and nonprofit sectors. She holds a degree in business. She has also personally experienced housing instability.

Public Safety Platform:

Conner does not outline a clear public safety platform. She emphasizes restoring local control over public safety decisions, advocating for shifting authority from the state to local governments. Her messaging mirrors broader tough-on-crime talking points common in more conservative or purple districts, without providing specific positions on policing, incarceration, or prevention strategies.
