Background:
Assemblymember Aguiar-Curry was first elected to the State Assembly in 2016 and has generally had a good voting record on justice reform – she earned a “B” on our Legislative Scorecard in 2023 and an “A” in 2024 and 2025.
Prior to joining the Assembly, she was the first woman Mayor of Winters, CA and worked as a businesswoman and Planning Commissioner
