Frank Lara

Nonpartisan

Teacher/Union VP

None as of 4/15/26

Frank Lara is an educator, community organizer, and union leader with a commitment to racial justice. He has served as the Executive Vice President of United Educators of San Francisco (UESF) since 2021 where he has led efforts to support undocumented families and administrative reforms to better support teachers.

Running on a socialist platform, Lara does offer many policy recommendations in alignment with IJ Action values, such as free childcare, universal Pre K, free community college, and ICE out of schools. However, due to a shortage of major endorsements and minimal fundraising, it is unlikely that his campaign will make it to the General Election.
