Office: Lieutenant Governor

On his campaign website, Oliver Ma states that he: “supports structural change of law enforcement and real investment in what actually keeps people safe: stable housing, quality schools, and accessible healthcare.

Oliver will fight to dismantle the prison-industrial complex, an industry that profits from incarceration and the exploitation of incarcerated people. Oliver believes California should move away from punishment-first policies and toward prevention, accountability, and dignity.”

Although Oliver Ma does not have experience as an elected official, he is in alignment with IJ Action’s public safety values and appears to be running a serious campaign. For those reasons, we are offering a dual recommendation for both Tubbs and Oliver Ma for Lieutenant Governor.
