Ionon Harris
Ionon is a passionate and results-driven professional with over two years of experience supporting justice-involved individuals and those experiencing homelessness, Ionon brings a trauma-informed, client-centered approach to advocacy. His life experience has equipped him with a deep understanding of the systemic barriers faced by marginalized populations. His commitment to social justice is grounded in direct service, where he’s seen firsthand the intersections between homelessness, incarceration, and behavioral health.
As a former Reentry Navigator Mentor with California Justice Leaders, Ionon supported youth and young adults transitioning from the Division of Juvenile Justice, connecting them with vital resources such as housing, substance use treatment, and mental health services. This experience, combined with a background in outreach and public engagement, has strengthened my ability to advocate for meaningful policy change and community reintegration. As a Criminal Justice Advocate Board Member, he aims to uplift the voices of justice-impacted individuals, promote equitable reentry practices, and work collaboratively toward a more just and humane criminal legal system.
