Elijah Mack – Senate District 21
Mack is a college student and libertarian activist. He is a first-time candidate for state office.
IJ Action Recommended: Yes
California State Senator
Senator Limón was first elected to the State Senate in 2020 after serving two terms in the State Assembly. Prior to her time in the legislature, she served on the Santa Barbara Unified School District Board of Education.
Although Senator Limón does not have a public safety platform on her campaign website, she has consistently voted in favor of progressive reforms, earning an “A” on our Legislative Scorecard both in 2023 and 2024. For example Limón voted in favor of SB 1282, which died on the Senate floor, and would have authorized diversion for all felony cases. Also, while in the Assembly, Limón voted in favor of ACA 6 to restore voting rights to Californians on parole. For all these reasons, she is IJ Action’s recommended vote for SD 21.
