Fennell is an entrepreneur with a background in the tech and music industries. He ran unsuccessfully for Lieutenant Governor in 2022.
Fennell does not have a written platform for his Senate race, but in his 2022 race for Lt. Governor, his website outlined his priorities to address the “crime wave” of retail thefts and burglaries and “white collar crime” in Silicon Valley.
He is also critical of Prop 47, falsely stating that under Prop 47, theft under $950 is “not even a slap on the wrist.” He further inaccurately claims that “police are no longer taking reports for property and white collar crime the statistics falsely show that crime in California is going down but the reality is the crime is on the rise” and then states “crime is not just being reported by police, but you can see the videos on YouTube.”
